America's State Parks in the Age of Artifical Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence is transforming people's personal and professional lives across the world. AI refers to the development of computer programs that perform tasks usually requiring human intelligence. Certainly, this will not affect America's State Parks management and operations, or will it? AI has already entered our parks through marketing, research, interpretation, customer service and even decision-making. These technologies can be employed in various activities that can benefit our parks. Much like other “disruptive innovations” over the years it will be up to us how we adjust and adapt to yet another change in our world. To navigate this evolving world, you must understand how AI can benefit our parks. In addition, you must understand its limitations and risks.

We're joined by Dr. Matt Browning, Associate Professor and Director of the Virtual Reality & Nature lab at Clemson University. As well as a discussion with states who have dipped their toes in AI waters.
