About a dozen surfers in wet suits take advantage of big waves as a storm blows in at sundown. Barnegat Light is a fishing village at the northern end of Long Beach Island. It also contains Barnegat Lighthouse Park which was created in 1957. Besides the lighthouse people come to the park to walk, birdwatch, learn about maritime history and fish.
