GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Manage overall site operations, including but not limited to: Public relations, building, and grounds maintenance, visitor service experiences, interpretive programming, exhibit development and curation, supervise personnel, budget management and planning, and emergency management. Comply with all policy and regulatory requirements. Work within best practices and established industry standards.

  • Serves as Park Superintendent of a small recreational-based state park or day use only state park or historic site with a smaller budget and smaller number of visitors.
  • Budget Management. Plan, project, recommend changes to the biennial budget, regularly monitor and track budget, make purchases, prompt and thorough completion of required budget paperwork and work within the assigned budget, manage fee program, SRA requests, and major maintenance.
  • Personnel Management. Hire, train, schedule, supervise, discipline, accurately submit timesheets, perform personnel reviews, and terminate permanent and seasonal employees.
  • Buildings and Grounds Maintenance. Manage, facilitate, plan and complete the maintenance to structures and land, including historic and modern structures, EPA regulated water system, sewer system, campgrounds, historic interpretive cabins, roads, underground irrigation systems, groomed turf, historic residential structure and barn, vaulted toilets, shelters, recreation equipment, and fence.
  • Customer Service. Responsible for the fee program and manage the online reservation system. Professionally handle all customer complaints and suggestions. Promote overall professionalism and customer satisfaction to all employees. Manage, order and restock gift shop.
  • Public Relations. Manage all park-related community relations, including friends groups, volunteers, community outreach, and social media outreach. Manage all state, federal, and local government partnerships and all other NGO's. Oversight of all aspects of concessionaire operations.
  • Public Programming. Develop, implement, review and adapt exhibits, programming, and marketing to fit the agency's changing needs or the visitor.
  • Provides protection to park visitors, investigates accidents, enforces laws, rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for safety training for employees and compliance.
  • Equipment and Vehicle Management. Acquire, maintain, operate, repair, and dispose of equipment, vehicles, and tools. Maintain equipment and vehicle inventory.
  • Full Time - $4,053.11 - $4,750.72 Monthly
