GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position aims to create and implement interpretation for District 5 sites, design and execute educational programs, manage the artifact collection, administer the volunteer program, organize special events, and help preserve the historic properties. These duties achieve the department's goals by providing enjoyable and educational experiences for visitors while also managing the fiscal resources and preserving our cultural and natural resources so the unit can be sustained at the highest possible level. District 5 or the Absaroka District consists of the following staffed sites: Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site, where the position will be based, Trail End State Historic Site, and Keyhole State Park, plus several satellite sites.
