The Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites Division is currently accepting applications for the position of Park/Historic Site Manager 3 at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, GA (Barrow county).
Included in Fort Yargo’s many attractions is a 1792 log fort, a 260-acre lake with a large swimming beach and a variety of outdoor recreational options -- all amidst beautiful scenery. Overnight visitors can choose from fully equipped cottages, cozy campsites, or unique lakeside “glamping” yurts. In addition to disc golf, fishing and boating, visitors can enjoy biking and hiking on 20.5 miles of trails. Fort Yargo State Park is also a popular location for outdoor weddings, reunions and other celebrations, as visitors have a choice of numerous rental facilities ranging from group shelters to lake-view pavilions. Significant recent capital improvements have included construction of a new Visitor Center, four new cottages, a new event center and new pedestrian bridge over the lake. Interior roads were recently repaved and a new internal road connecting major use areas is nearing completion.
Fort Yargo State Park is located in beautiful Winder, Georgia. The Park Manager resides in single-family park housing with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a basement. Recent improvement to the residence include a new deck and porch.

OR an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND five years of full-time experience in a State Park, Historic Site, or similar facility with assigned duties in specialized area(s) such as resource management, guest services, administration, programming, security or facilities maintenance, including three years of supervisory experience. OR a High school diploma/GED AND seven years of full-time experience in a State Park, Historic Site, or similar facility with assigned duties in specialized area(s) such as resource management, guest services, administration, programming, security or facilities maintenance, including three years of supervisory experience.
