West Virginia State Parks is proud to host the 2025 National Association of State Park Directors Conference at Canaan Valley Resort State Park, located on a high plateau in the Allegheny Mountains near Davis, West Virginia. The event will showcase the West Virginia State Park system while providing networking opportunities for state, federal, and Canadian park leaders, our valued exhibitors and sponsors, and the related non-profit organizations that support the conservation and recreation industry.
Canaan Valley Resort State Park has 6014 acres of land located within the highest valley east of the Mississippi. Overnight accommodations feature the 160 room Canaan Lodge, 23 cabins, and 59 campsites. A true four-season resort, Canaan Valley Reosrt State Park features a ski resort with downhill skiing and snowboarding, snowtubing, snowbiking, cross-country skiing, and ice skating for plenty of winter recreation. Warm weather recreation opportunities include and 18-hole golf course, 18 miles of hiking andbiking trails, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sporting clays, and scenic chairlift rides.
